Hallelujah!

Today woke up at 0755!! I was so late! I need to go off at 0810 that left me with only 15 mins to prepare. I quickly bathe and grabbed my Living Life devotion book along with me. I went off at about 0820. Thank God I was not late.

Thank God I was awoken by mummy's loud noise. I jumped up and saw that I was late. I wondered why I my alarm clock didn't wake me up. When I checked, my iPhone was off! I thought I charged it and it will on. Every time there is no problem till today. I try all sort of ways. I tried to hit it on the floor. I tried using daddy's charger to charge. Change to other socket still the same. In the end when I'm so desperate I cried out to God. Suddenly my phone lit up! Hallelujah! I was so grateful and I kept praising God for it. He is so wonderful! He is a God of miracles!:)

Eason is so sweet

Eason is one of my boys who is very active and couldn't sit still to listen during lesson time. Once when the chi teacher asked him to put his hands at the side in the pants, he fell asleep after a while when he couldn't move his hands. So funny!

He always comes to me and say "I love you, Miss Tan". He is really very sweet. I believe if he wants to give me the gift is also because purely regards me as his favourite teacher. Not that I'm boasting. I thought he will give it to Ms Low. It's very unexpected. It must be the love of God. Thank You Jesus!:)

Chosen for fruitfulness

Sermon title: Chosen for fruitfulness
Key scripture: John 15:16
Preacher: Apostle Lawrence Khong

God has chosen me to bear fruits.
~3 ways to bear fruits:
1) You are to be fruitful
Galatians 5:22-23
John 15:11-12 (The joy of the LORD)
Romans 1:13
John 4:35-36
To be fruitful you have to reflect your life of God.

2) You are chosen!
God has chosen us because He want to take responsibility in us. He has ordained me to bear fruits.
Imagine God saying He didn't choose you but you chose Him. Wouldn't it be different?

3) It's your choice
We have to make this choice to be fruitful
Are we serious of being fruitful?
John 15:1-5
God the Father is our Gardener
We can win people to God when we are willing to let Him do anything to make us fruitful.

a] He purges-demolishes our sins
John 15:2-6
He want to cut off the dead wood in us.
Romans 6:23-The wages of sins is DEATH.

b] He prunes-disciplines our lives
John 15:2

c] He provides-delight in Him
John 15:7-8

Moving forward with God

Life has its ups and downs. Sometimes we do really well in all the various spheres of our lives. We experience amazing fellowship with God, and things at home and work go precisely according to plan. Then, there are other moments in our lives when we back-slide into sin, such as fighting with family, and struggling at work.

Both of these instances can bring us into the presence of God. The first will bring us into His throne room filled with praise, while the latter will bring us to our knees in humble surrender. But how do we approach God in the doldrums of life? What do we do when there seems to be nothing good or bad in life, or when we feel like our life is in a rut? Arthur Pink writes, "Go Forward!...We need to clearly realize there is no such thing as remaining stationary in the spiritual life: if we do not progress-we inevitably retrograde... Your history this year will either be one of going forward-or backsliding."

We are in a race. Anyone who has been in a race knows that the race needs to be finished. It does not matter, necessarily, how strongly we start the race. If we give up running after God in the middle of our lives, our whole race will be in vain.

However we are doing spiritually, God encourages us to move forward with Him in His eternal presence. We are stubborn; we are rebellious. Yet God says of His people in Hosea 2:14, "Therefore, I am now going to allure her, I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her."

Go!

Sermon title: Go!
Key Scripture: Mark 16:15
Preacher: Pastor Daniel Khong

Matthew 28:10
1) Get up!
We are the key to unlock God's unlimited power.
"He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."
~ Mark 16:15
John 5:8-9
God's alarm clock is ringing now! Stop hitting the snooze button! Hitting the snooze button for the 1st and 2nd time, you might be just on time. But hitting it the 3rd and 4th time, we will be late!

2) Get out!
Live right for God. Look right to reach out to people.
The kingdom of God is inside you, so bring the kingdom out!
Jesus is always in the Go.
After you unlock God's unlimited power, you have to unleash it.

Hidden God

God declares that He is always with us. He is with us wherever we go. If we go to Antarctica, He is there. If we go to the moon, God is still there. God is in the deepest, darkest caves, and He is in the farthest reaches of space.

Even so, just because God is everywhere does not mean we constantly feel His presence. There are obviously times in our lives when we really do feel the very presence of God, perhaps during worship or times of intense prayer. But just as there are moments when we feel His presence, there are moments when we do not.

When we don't feel the presence of God, is it just because we are running away from Him? Is it because we are in the midst of rebellion against God, or is it because we are lost in the fleshy desires of sin? The answer needs to be a clear and resounding "NO!" Sometimes God hides Himself from us.

James Smith writes: "God hides himself. To hide is to conceal his beauty, to veil his face...so that we cannot perceive his purpose, or understand his designs in his dispensations. The Lord sometimes hides himself from us in times of trouble, in seasons of sickness, and when suffering from painful disappointments. This he does-to prove us-to reprove us-to improve us-and to instruct us."

But this does not mean that God has abandoned us. God is always with us, even when He conceals Himself. Even when we can't feel God, we still need to cry out to Him. God will not hide Himself forever.
