God is the God of the extreme.
When Christ die for us, that is extreme love.
God's demand for my life for discipleship is extreme.
To be an extreme disciple, is to have 100% commitment.
Luke 9:57-62
3 characteristics of an extreme disciple:
1) Denies himself - No earthly security
*verse 57-58
2 Corinthians 6:10
Luke 14:33
If we don't give up everything, we cannot be Jesus' disciple!
2) Takes up the cross daily - No earthly ties
Taking up the cross means death.
*Luke 9:59-60
Luke 14:25-27
God wants our extreme devotion that our love to our family is like hatred.
3) Follows Jesus - No earthly distractions
*verse 61-62
Follow Jesus and He will make you fisher of men.
Luke 14:28-30
