A runaway train

Sermon title: A runaway train
Key scripture: Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:17-21; Jeremiah 29:11
Preacher: Rev. Eugene Seow

We are living in Acts 2 but we are not Acts 2.
2 important questions:
1) Who do you say that I am?
2) What shall we do?
Acts 2:36-37
We are not what we do, but we do what we are.

~What should we do?
1) Repent and be baptized - Be saved
Acts 2:38
What does it take to be the child of God?
John 1:12
When you receive Jesus Christ, you are submitting your life to God, the Giver.
Repentance is the Doorway of God's blessings.
Galatians 2:20
We must come to the cross in a daily basis.
Are you on a daily basis demonstrating who you are? (As a child of God)

2) Received the Holy Spirit - Be submitted
Acts 2:38-39
Acts 1:8
We need to be in partnership with the Holy Spirit.
We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
You hear what you want to hear.
*verse 17-18

3) Reach out and serve - Be happy
Acts 2:44-47
God is the driver of the runaway train.
Jeremiah 29:11-13
*verse 21
