In Matthew 18, Peter asked Jesus, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus' answer was, "...not seven times, but seventy times." The point Jesus was making is not that we are to keep track of how many times we forgive, but that we are to lose count along the way and not stop forgiving. Sometimes it's hard to forgive, but it's best. Holding grudges is a no win.
